The Woodgrove Wolverines took on hometown rival Loudoun Valley Vikings at home on November 4, 2022 with a final score of 49-21. The Wolverines pulled away with the win after a stressful first half tied 14-14 until the Wolverines scored in the 3rd quarter on an interception by Alec Hughes. This win marks a 12-0 record for the Varsity team against the Vikings. 

        The Wolverines previously secured a spot in the playoffs when they beat Independence on October 28th. They’re headed into the postseason seeded fifth and play the fourth seed team Riverbend away in Fredericksburg, Va on November 10th.

        In preparation, the team “Queued in on key players and Woodgrove after their win against Loudoun Valley on November 4th and continued to work hard, treating it like a normal game,” said Carson Rhoads, sophomore Varsity player.
