As 2024 has come to an end, a yearly tradition has reemerged.  New year’s resolutions are a very common start to a new year, in which people create goals that will improve yourself and your quality of life. Though this tradition is extraordinarily popular worldwide, that however is not the case at Woodgrove High School.  After conducting a poll, it was found that most students do not create resolutions.  Senior Lucas Cole thinks this is due to the fact that, “Sometimes people make goals that are way too hard to actually complete, so this stops them from making resolutions in the future.”

Even though a majority of Woodgrove students do not make goals for the new year, some of them do try to better themselves. Devin Cawthorne, a senior here at Woodgrove, stated, “My resolution is to put more of my focus on studying this year.” She supported her claim by stating,, “I was distracted a lot last year with work and extracurriculars, I want to really focus this time.” The most popular resolutions of those who make them are generally study and exercise related.
