Prom season is right around the corner and juniors and seniors throughout the county are coordinating groups, making reservations, picking outfits, and discussing ideas for the highly anticipated spring formal known as Prom. The Junior Class Council at Woodgrove is responsible for the planning of Prom every year. The class of 2025 is ready to bring a spectacular night for the school’s upperclassmen.
The Junior Class Council is responsible for facilitating votes for the Prom theme, as well as marketing, decorating, setting up and taking down decorations, and ensuring that juniors and seniors enjoy their time at Prom.
This year, the Prom theme is ‘Starry Night.’ The theme was voted on by students to select the year’s theme. Prom 2024 will take place in the ballroom at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott from 8pm-12am. Dancing late into the night and four hours of fun can be expected. Junior Class Council Vice President, Lillian Hackett, shares her hopes for the Woodgrove Prom 2024, “I’m most looking forward to seeing it all come together and picking out decorations. One of our goals for Prom this year is that the decorations will clearly emulate the Starry Night theme.”
Tickets are available and students will find the option to purchase their tickets on SchoolCashOnline. The required permission form for entry will also be found online through class Schoology pages and QR codes throughout the school will also be available. Junior Class Council President, Brooks Frandsen, says, “Information for tickets and the dance will be gradually pushed out, so just pay close attention to posters, the morning announcements, and social media.”
As Prom rapidly approaches, students are eager to finalize plans, so stay tuned for ticket purchase release and get excited!
