Harry & Meghan’s Documentary Backfire
Everybody knows Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle, but some don’t realize they have a new documentary series on Netflix. While many were excited for this new series, there has been a lot of backlash against the program now that all six episodes have been released. The series follows their love story throughout the years, starting with when they met, to when they moved to California after their split from the Royal Family. The couple and many of their friends are interviewed and explain what they believed happened behind the Palace doors.
While many expected this documentary to be excellent, the top reviewers beg to differ. Rotten Tomatoes gave the documentary a 38% and IMDb rated it a 4.7 out of 10. The New York Times reports many people watching the documentary are commenting that they require a “sick bucket.” Others comment that it’s just a bunch of “grudge- rehashing.” These feelings did not keep people from watching a reported 81.55 million hours of the show in the first week. While numerous people still believe that the documentary series is a publicity scam, there’s no doubt that many people are still intrigued by the royal gossip and the story of what is happening in the lives of Britain’s elites.
