John Hays

John Hays, Editor In Chief

John Hays is a senior and an Editor-in-Chief who is entering his 4th year in journalism. He took Intro to Journalism as a freshman and continued on to the Outlander where he was appointed Editor-in-Chief his junior year. John joined the class for the freedom and creativity it provides writers. He enjoys writing about national news and scientific discoveries with the goal of educating the Woodgrove community on large political and worldly matters. He is Co-President of both National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll, President and Founder of Beach Volleyball, Vice President of Science National Honor Society, Soils Officer of Green Earth Club, 3rd-year manager of Volleyball, a member of the Baseball team, and a lifeguard. John’s hobbies include reading history and philosophy books, playing sports, swimming, watching sunsets, and playing with his dogs.
