After a devastating defeat on November 10th to the Loudoun County Captains, the Wolverine’s football season has come to an end. The final score of the game was 42-22 with electric plays from both sides in the winter weather and a final record of 4-7. Having not won a playoff game since 2018, the team has high hopes for next year.
Going into next year with a new set of leaders, Carson Rhoads said, “We battled through a lot of adversity this year. I’m proud of the guys and we’re all looking to get bigger and stronger this offseason.” Offseason work is key, whether that be weight training, conditioning, or resistance training. Many of the players are pursuing post high school football careers, with some already receiving offers. College offers and commitments aren’t limited to football. With the upcoming basketball season, there are committed players too. Make sure to show out to support winter athletes as well.
