Welcoming Woodgrove’s New Assistant Principal
The newest addition to the Woodgrove administration, Ms. Ebony Jackson, is here to make a difference. Ms. Jackson grew up in a military family and traveled around the United States, but says her true home is in Virginia because that’s where she went to high school.
Before Woodgrove, Ms. Jackson was at Lightridge High School in South Riding. Now that she is here, she has many things she is grateful for. “I love everybody here, the teachers and staff are amazing. I only live about ten minutes away from the school.” commented Ms. Jackson.
She joins Ms. Thompson and Mr. Panagos this year as Woodgrove’s third assistant principal. Being a new addition to the staff, she’s been able to rely on the both of them to show her the ropes. Ms. Jackson muses, “I love them because I’m new to everything here. I ask them a million questions each day, and they both love it.”
Ms. Thompson, who was on the hiring panel for Ms. Jackson says, “I felt an instant connection with Ms. Jackson during her interview. She was warm and friendly and she evoked calm, peaceful feelings in me.” As a team, we hope to serve Woodgrove and our community as best we possibly can.
