On December 12, 2022, America’s Game was played between the Army’s Golden Knights and the Navy’s Midshipmen. This game has been happening since 1980. These two teams face off yearly at the end of the college football season for the chance to win the Commanders-in-Chief’s trophy. Most former Army and Navy veterans sit down and watch America’s Game. For the last year, the Army worked hard planning their revenge. Last year’s America’s Game ended with a score of 13-17 with the Navy taking the win. This game is a huge event on the calendar for most Army and Navy alumni as they gather with their families around their TVs to see who takes the trophy.

This year, the Navy and Army unveiled special uniforms. The Navy used inspiration from its historical ties to NASA for its jerseys, while the Army sported a jersey dedicated to the Army’s soldiers who served in the 1st Armored Division during World War II. With Navy winning this game by a huge margin, the Golden Knights stormed back in the 4th quarter and sent it to overtime. The Navy then tried to hold its own and win in overtime against the Golden Knights. These two teams square off this year on December 8th, 2023 to determine who is ¨America’s Team.¨
